"Marco developed an extensive track record in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors through 15 years of industry practice as a consultant, analyt and modeller. His know-how spans the analytics, operations and strategy functions of an organisation.
As part of his environmental engineering master degree in Italy, he carried out research on the environmental impacts, management and eco-labelling of tourist assets (hotels and resorts). After that, his international career started with academic research in the waste to enegy field in Ireland and some environmental consultancy work in South America.
During his 5-years consultancy tenure in the UK, Marco worked in sustainability and energy management, also setting up an energy auditing firm and serving as guest lecturer in sustainability in buildings at the AUBC (Bournemouth). He also authored over 20 market intelligence reports and scientific publications about renewable energy technologies.
After few years in the utilities and analytics businesses, Marco completed an Exectuve MBA with focus on strategy and business modelling and moved to GE Renewables, where he currently leads the project finance and decision making modelling capabilities for the development team.
Marco’s vision is about a sustainable and ethical planet with 100% renewable energy and sustainable tourism, hence he is business planning his own eco-hotel venture. He is also invited speaker at entrepreneurial events and collborates with some international accelerators to support start-ups with an impact business model."
